Investment Controller (On Site)
Investment Controller
The Investment Controller will manage the day-to-day financial operations, tax matters, and financial reporting, including SEC filings and investor relations. This role is instrumental in ensuring compliance, accurate financial reporting, and effective asset management.

Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison with property management accounting teams, auditors, tax consultants, lenders, and insurance professionals.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including SEC filings, GAAP standards, and tax laws.
- Oversee the preparation and consolidation of monthly and annual financial statements across multiple properties to meet company and regulatory standards.
- Manage timely and accurate preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns and payments for each entity, ensuring tax impacts are considered in business decisions. Coordinate investor tax reporting, including K-1s and 1099s.
- Oversee property and fund-level cash flow analysis to recommend distributions, considering operational needs, reserves, and cash balances.
- Collaborate with asset management to track and evaluate property investment performance, budgets, and debt covenants.
- Develop internal reporting processes, including forecasting, KPI tracking, and management dashboards.
- Support acquisition, disposition, and financing efforts through the review of financial terms and related documentation.
- Lead the migration of financial systems and software upgrades as needed to support company growth.
- Regularly review and update financial policies and procedures, driving operational efficiencies through technology.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA designation and public accounting experience strongly preferred.
- Strong GAAP knowledge and experience with real estate tax and reporting.
- Must be detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM, with additional hours as needed.
