Senior Collections Analyst

Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged in a search for a Senior Collections Analyst for our client located in Oak Brook, IL. Our client is a well-established steel manufacturer, and they are looking for a Senior Collections Analyst to join their team on a contract to hire basis. The AR/Collections Specialist will be primarily responsible managing a portfolio of commercial accounts, and handling escalated issues. This is a great opportunity to work in a well-established, team-oriented environment. The ideal Senior Collections Analyst would be able to interview and then start shortly after.

Senior Collections Analyst Responsibilities:

• Monitor accounts receivable and identify overdue accounts
• Resolve all disputes such as invoice problems and pricing issues in a timely manner
• Follow up on outstanding invoices via emails, call and internal questions
• Communicate with customers in a professional and respectful manner to identify and understand customer issues preventing payment
• Make collection calls and recommend actions for slow/poor paying customers 
• Analyze data through spreadsheets in Excel using formulas, V-lookups and pivot tables that data to provide solutions
• Verify payment status of outstanding invoices, summarize and share results and provide next steps and actions that are needed.
• Document interactions with customers, internal teams and payors by providing the issues, actions, owners and dates
• Resend invoices and customer statements as required
• Review daily cash application report for discrepancies and need for remittance

Senior Collections Analyst Qualifications:

• 4+ years of recent B2B collections experience is a must have
• Excel-Pivot Table and VLOOKUP experience is REQUIRED
• Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• System: Oracle and/or MAS500 is preferred, not required 
• Good communication skills
