Fund Accounting Manager
Private Markets Investment Firm

$135,000+DOE

A leading private markets investment firm is seeking a Fund Accounting Manager to oversee key aspects of the firm’s financial operations. This role will be critical in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, efficient close processes, and effective partnership accounting for the firm's diverse investment portfolios.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management companies, ensuring they meet GAAP standards.
  • Oversee intercompany transactions, manage balance sheet, and prepare capital statements.
  • Assist in budget development and contribute to financial forecasting.
  • Handle daily cash reconciliations related to loan origination, closings, intercompany transactions, and fee collections.
  • Work closely with external auditors and tax advisors.
  • Drive automation and process enhancements within the accounting systems to boost efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with fund accounting, operations, analysts, and legal teams on transactions, intercompany matters, and financial reporting.

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance;
  • CPA or CPA-eligible
  • 4+ years in accounting (private equity, fund management, or public accounting)
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and fund accounting principles
  • Experience managing audits and handling complex intercompany transactions.
