Controller
Plant Controller
$125,000 - $135,000 + Bonus

As a Plant Controller, you will have the opportunity to join a global organization as a key partner to senior leadership. You will lead the full accounting and finance functions, responsible for all financial planning, reporting, GAAP compliance, cost accounting, and inventory analysis to support decision-making, optimize costs, and improve profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct variance analysis and reporting for plant operations, including financial and manufacturing metrics such as labor, machine utilization, shift performance, cost controls, and inventory management.
- Collaborate with plant management and supply chain teams to develop and update monthly production plans, while tracking actual performance daily, weekly, and monthly.
- Partner with operations staff to improve processes for raw material handling, inventory management, quality assurance, shipping, and customer service.
- Support financial closing and monthly forecasting processes for the plant.
- Prepare journal entries and analyze plant profit-and-loss statements, presenting reviews to leadership.
- Assist in developing the annual plant budget.
- Monitor and update labor costs per line and machine based on real-time observations and analysis.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and internal controls, maintaining a strong financial governance framework.
- Contribute to ERP system implementation at the plant level.
- Track capital expenditures and monitor cost improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with inventory control to establish a cycle counting process for raw materials and finished goods.
- Assist with corporate reporting requirements and standard cost updates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- 10+ years of accounting/finance experience, including GAAP, cost accounting, and inventory controls knowledge.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and present insights to leadership.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience driving process improvements and optimizing operational efficiency.
