Property Accounting Manager

Our client is growing through major acquisitions, and they’re looking for a Property Accounting Manager. In this role, you'll be the cornerstone of their accounting team, overseeing a portfolio of assets and playing a vital role in the month-end close process. You'll lead and develop a team, ensure accurate financial reporting, and act as a key resource during budgeting season. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on managing complex financials and loves building relationships with their team and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:

• Lead, train, and supervise accountants and accounting assistants
• Oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable, receivables, and general ledger maintenance
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including month-end close, reconciliations, and critical payments
• Collaborate with business and regional managers during budgeting and audit processes
• Manage cash flows, distributions, and reimbursement processes
• Actively contribute to team success through continuous process improvement and relationship-building

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Proficiency with Yardi and strong Excel skills
• Proven ability to thrive under pressure and handle complex inquiries
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset
• A leader who can inspire, train, and oversee the team to meet deliverables.
