Job Title: Accounts Payable Analyst
Location: Niles, IL
Salary Range: $24 per hour - $28 per hour

Role Overview:
Brilliant Financial Staffing is currently hiring for a client of ours located in Niles, IL. Our client is needing an organized and detail-oriented professional responsible for managing the accounts payable process, vendor relationships, compliance, and supporting month-end close activities. Collaborates across teams to ensure efficiency and accuracy while driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the accounts payable inbox, processing approximately 100 weekly invoices and addressing 250 emails per week.
- Review, reconcile, and match invoices against purchase orders and receipts to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Ensure timely vendor payments by maintaining accurate payment schedules and resolving discrepancies, including aged AP and inventory issues.
- Handle the company credit card program, including reconciliations, compliance monitoring, and reporting.
- Review employee expense reports for policy compliance and coordinate reimbursements.
- Assist in month-end close processes, including accruals, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Prepare payment runs based on agreed terms and ensure proper approvals in line with internal controls.
- Maintain and update accounting records, compile documents for audits, and support the implementation of sound procedures to strengthen internal controls.
- Set up and manage supplier profiles, review supplier submissions, and ensure accurate data entry.
- Support process improvements, cross-functional employee training, and department development initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including creating VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
- Experience with NetSuite and procure-to-pay processes preferred.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with manufacturing environments and exposure to period-end close activities.
- Experience driving process improvements and creating cross-functional training documentation.
- Knowledge of reporting on days payable outstanding and creating management reports.
