Senior Corporate Accountant

Senior Corporate Accountant- $120K-Hybrid
 Our client is a leading pre-IPO professional services provider. In collaboration, we are seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant. Reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager, the Senior Corporate Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Perform independently in the core accounting group to ensure an accurate, timely, and predictable close process.
• Critically analyze complex and judgmental accounting matters.
• Collaborate with third-party resources to complete close processes in-house.
• Partner with senior management on implementing and executing internal controls over financial reporting, aiming to build a SOX-compliant accounting department.
• Execute controls, including account reconciliations, and support inquiries from third-party auditors.
• Proactively communicate risks, opportunities, challenges, and regular updates to accounting management.
• Participate in company-wide projects and process improvement initiatives, assessing their impact on the accounting organization.
• Leverage best practices to enhance the overall efficiency of the accounting function.
• Support strategic financial and operational initiatives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• CPA preferred
• 5+ years of related accounting experience
• Know-how of SOX compliance is required
• Solid understanding of US GAAP.
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel.
