An Application Support Specialist is responsible for enabling, deploying and maintaining company applications, software and computer/mobile device images as well as working with field personnel to support all deployed applications and hardware. In addition, they are to look for opportunities to improve applications, deployed technologies and optimize images and the user experience. They are to work with all levels of IT and field personnel to determine the needs of the customer and create images and methods deployment

Description:
An Application Support Specialist is responsible for enabling, deploying and maintaining company applications, software and computer/mobile device images as well as working with field personnel to support all deployed applications and hardware. In addition, they are to look for opportunities to improve applications, deployed technologies and optimize images and the user experience. They are to work with all levels of IT and field personnel to determine the needs of the customer and create images and methods deployment
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
-
- Take ownership of the creation and deployment of images within InTune or other software solutions for the provisioning of tablets, phones and laptops to be distributed across the company.
- Work with field and technology personnel to determine, build and deploy images and changes to current images with minimal customer impact, clear instructions and efficiency.
- Ensure all technologies including endpoints, applications and software meet data integrity and security requirements to best protect company assets and data.
- Develop and maintain a quality assurance program to minimize any issues as new technologies or images are deployed across the company.
- Work with 3rd parties and internal personnel to field service requests and satisfy all support needs, specifically regarding, but not limited to, images and hardware deployed in the business.
- Answer all customer/end user questions and offer them access to helpful resources to ensure their satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of issues reported, steps taken, and resolutions reached in the ticketing system or via email/documentation otherwise.
- Any other needs of the business and team, pitching in on projects that may not be directly related to their role, but giving additional hands as needed.
Knowledge, Skills & Leadership Characteristics:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft InTune, specifically image creation and management
- Experience with mobile devices, their use and remote management of.
- Ability to quickly adapt to the needs of the role, self-start and work in a role with minimal supervision.
- Attention to detail for quick reviews of reported issues and approach the most likely solution effectively.
- Exceptional customer service orientation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple priorities.
- Adaptability and resilience
- Ability to build rapport with customers and co-workers.
- Demonstrated sense of ownership and ability to drive change.
Education & Experience:
-
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Prior information technology, systems administration, endpoint support, InTune management experience preferred.
- Familiarity with mobility, mobile devices, differentiating mobile technologies, working with carriers, apps and app repositories and different manufacturers, makes/models.
- Familiarity with telephone, office and other common software products and operating systems a plus
