Job Title: Payroll Specialist
Location: Chicago, IL
Pay Range: $80K-$90K (Based on Experience & Qualifications)
Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance. 401(k)

Role Overview:
Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged in a search for a Payroll Specialist for our client located in Chicago, IL. Our client, a well-established animal food production organization, is currently looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their department. Our client recently has gone through a company re-structure, and they are looking to bring on a skilled Payroll Specialist on a direct hire basis to contribute in the long term growth of the organization. This Payroll Specialist would be responsible for handling full cycle payroll responsibilities from start to finish. This is an immediate need so the ideal Payroll Specialist would be able to interview and then start ASAP.

Payroll Specialist Responsibilities:

• Process payroll for up to 400 employees-union/non-union
• Handle multi-state payroll processing
• Process both hourly and salary employee payroll on both weekly and bi-weekly basis’s
• Communicate with employees regarding payroll discrepancies and inquiries
• Ensuring all payroll related activities such as wages, taxes, benefits accurately represent federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations
• Audit payroll data
• Enter and set up payroll deductions such as wage garnishments

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of end-to-end Payroll experience
• Excel experience with Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP’s Required
• Strong organizational and analysis skills
• Experience within Paylocity- Preferred
• CPP Certification-Preferred
