Senior Auditor

The Senior Auditor is responsible for conducting comprehensive reviews of key business processes and controls to provide an independent assessment of their design and effectiveness. This role also involves leveraging best practices and advisory methods to enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct audits and advisory reviews to evaluate both internal and external operational processes, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and identifying areas for improvement.
• Plan and scope audit reviews, from simple to moderately complex, ensuring adequate audit coverage.
• Perform walkthroughs to understand processes and controls, assess risks, and develop testing procedures.
• Execute testing, data analysis, and benchmarking to assess the design and operational effectiveness of controls.
• Identify issues and opportunities for improvement, including root cause and impact analysis.
• Conclude on the adequacy of risk mitigation processes and internal controls.
• Prepare reports and lead discussions to communicate audit findings to stakeholders, including senior leadership.
• Collaborate with management to develop action plans and track project progress, including budget and milestone reporting.
• Follow up on management’s implementation of action plans.
• Assist in compliance programs, including design walkthroughs and testing the effectiveness of internal controls.
• Adhere to department policies and IIA Standards to ensure consistency and thorough documentation.
• Support data-driven assurance programs and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Assist with internal investigations as needed.
• Build strong relationships with management to promote risk management partnership.
• Engage in professional development through ongoing training and networking opportunities.
• Requires up to 25% travel.

Salary Range: $115,000 - $135,000 per year
